Worst of all was that I wore a pair of smart shoes but with high heels! A few hours later I was in agony yet had no time to change them. By the time we finished serving dinner at about 10:30 I was completely exhausted. Nevertheless, I learnt something through my experience.
the lottery does more harm than good.
lottery, reflecting people's dream of being rich overnight,is always a controversial , it has made so great profits which our society may benefit from, but such profits could never compensate for the loss it costs.
people may be surprised at the amazing development of lottery when they thoroughly look into it. is it a kind of capital in vestment or is there any deeper reason hidden behind? those who buy lottery tickets may have different backgrounds while they share the same goal, hoping that the free pie will fall some day as long as they keep throwing the money attitude may gradually influence their personality and eventually form an opportunistic mentality. besides, even if you are the lucky guy,you won't be so happy as you've once epected. people around you may be green with envy; some may even hate you for your gaining the treasure effortlessly.
it is commonly accepted that whether to buy lottery ticketsor not is just a personal affair. actually, it isn't。 we know that the real value of the tickets, we buy is no more than several pieces of paper。 according to the economics pattern, too fast circulation of currency may bring down the value of the money, especially when it is spent without any material production. the result is that our domestic financial condition will be out of control.
lottery may help us gather the wealth of the whole society, but not in the proper way;it may donate a lot to the charities, but just a small part of what has gained.
With the rapid development of Chinese economic and the improvement of living standards of ordinary people, more and more private cars are on road. Some people think private cars can bring great convenience to the owners while others argue that government should put a limit on private cars. In my humble opinion, we should put a limit on private cars.
First of all, the more private cars, the more traffic jams. If people stuck on a traffic jam, it will cost them a lot of time, some people even late for work. What’s more, nowadays finding a parking spot is much harder than before because there are too many cars on streets. Sometimes you just arrive at the destination, but you just cannot find a place to park your car. The place is so crowded that you have to park in other place which may be far away from your destination.
Secondly, the price of gasoline and repairs are constantly rising, not to mention the pricesfor the insurance and the fear of being stolen. If you do not make enough money, you can barely pay for the fees of the cars. This can cause great burdento your daily life.
Last but not least, the cars produce tens of thousands of carbon dioxide, which will create greenhouse effect and other serious environmental pollution. Some environmentalists predict that in the next few years, the ozone layer will fully disappear and will increase the rate of getting skin cancer. And the air we breathe in is not as pure as before, do we really need to sacrifice our future to enjoy the so called convenience?
Due to these reason, I think people should think twice before they buy a private car. Weshould not only consider the increasing cost of owning a car, but also should think about the future we have. It’s not only a personal thing, but also the whole country, the whole world.
With the advent of Internet, we have stepped into an era of information and technology.
As a result, there are more channels for secondhand goods transactions.
For instance, various kinds of websites can provide information platform for the transactions.
In fact, attitudes towards secondhand goods transactions vary from person to person.
Some believe that these transactions obviously have many advantages.
It’s a win-win situation for both buyers and sellers.
For buyers, they can purchase commodities at much lower price than brand new ones.
For sellers, they can dispose things of no use and get money in return.
However, others hold this strong argument that secondhand goods transactions have beendowngraded to transactions of counterfeits and substandard goods.
Most of the complaints are based on the unreliable qualities.
And some complain it’s troublesome to bargain with the sellers and they will never knowwhether they have paid money for value or not.
Despite of many problems in secondhand goods transactions, I am standing on the side ofsupporting it.
After all, thanks to these transactions, commodities’ worth can be maximized or evenexhausted in that the goods can be put into use instead of being left unused.
There is no doubt that enough concern must be paid to the problems of counterfeiting insecondhand goods transactions.
And I sincerely believe that so long as the dishonest business activities are effectively solved, the secondhand goods transactions will bring us benefits.
