水，地球生命之源，是人类生活不可缺少的最为重要的资源。现在地球上的水资源已十分有限，而我国是面临缺水危机最严重的国家之一。可有些人却想当然地以为水资源是取之不尽，用之不竭的，所以他们一点都不心疼地浪费着水，实在是可惜可叹。

自从我长大懂事，了解了水的一些情况之后，每当用水的时候，便很注意节水。有一次，我和爸爸去浴室里洗澡。在冲淋的时候，尽量让每一注水都能落在我的身上。这时，我突然发现旁边的一位伯伯在一旁打肥皂，但是他没有把水龙头关掉。我便趁他不注意，把他的水龙头关上了。他似乎感觉到了，回过头来，看到了我，用不太友善地语气对我说了一句：“干什么，小朋友！”一开始，我感到有点不好意思，但是我凭着自己的良心，我并没有做错，便镇定地反驳了他一句：“请不要浪费水。”听了我的话，他似乎认识到了自己的错误，没有再说什么。后来，爸爸也表扬我的勇气和正义。

在公共场所不随意浪费水，在家里，我也注意节约用水。

我家的阳台上种了几盆花，由于妈妈空闲的时间比较少，这项任务一开始包给了奶奶。奶奶便每隔一段时间就去浇花。有一个周末，爸爸妈妈出去逛街了，我呆在家里看书。过了一会儿，奶奶来了。她先把妈妈晒在外面的衣服收了回来。然后，去厨房拿了个塑料大壶，盛了大半壶清水，把每盆花都浇了一下。我看了奶奶浇花的过程，觉得用清水浇花有点可惜，但是我当时又想不到应用什么水浇好。于是，等到妈妈回来，便问妈妈。妈妈说，应用早晨烧粥时的淘米水浇。我又问妈妈：“淘米水不脏吗？”妈妈说，那些脏不会对植物产生什么影响；相反，那些淘米水中还有一些营养成分，能给花草当肥料。我告诉了奶奶，让她以后就用淘米水浇花，她同意了。我们都觉得这是一个一举两得的做法。

这样的节水做法在我身边还有很多，比如爸爸经常用洗澡水洗衣，拖地……用较干净的洗脸水洗脚等等。让我们从现在开始，从我们身边的小事做起，大家都来了解水，重视水，节约水，爱惜水，共同努力，让我们的家园保持良好的生态环境。
