Education background

In 1995， I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the Chinas best engineering schools. Research experience and academic activity

When a sophomore， I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab， I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In retrospect， I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience， which has prepared me for the program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem， Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network)， Supply chain network research， Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

当面试老师提问结束后，考生不要直接就回答问题，这时可以很有礼貌地说：“ok, thank you for your question”。(好，感谢老师的提问。)

对于面试老师提出来的问题没有听明白时，不能沉默不答。考生说：“sorry, could you rephrase that question?”(抱歉，能再重述一下刚刚那个问题吗？)或者说：“Can you say that again, please?”(你能再说一遍吗？)

当面试重新复述了一遍刚提的问题后，如果考生依然没有听明白，可以说：“I’m so sorry. Can I change another one?”(抱歉，我能换个问题回答吗？)

当面试老师提出的问题有些难度，不能马上作答，需要思考时，考生切记长时间的低头不语。这时可以说：“oh, let me see。”(哦，让我想一想)

当一个问题回答完毕时，记得最后加上：“ok, that’s all. Thank you. ”(好了，就这些，谢谢。)
