高中学生英语演讲稿1

Hi everyone,

My name is Dongqi Yang from china, I am horror to be here today and I am very happy to receive this award.

As you can imagine, as international students in Australia, the biggest challenge is English,

I remembered that when I come here first time, there is a party in the house of my home stay. During the time, they played jokes and they laughed all the time, do you know how embarrassed that is, everyone laughed except you. So I pretend to understand the joke in another party, I saw everyone laugh and I laugh too in 5 seconds later. My home stay was surprised about that and asked me “do you understand?”， and I answered “no”， “So why do you laugh?” ”because I do not want to be embarrassed”！

But as I receive this award today, I want to thank to them, because they encourage me to be involved with the committee rather than staying in at home, play computer and speak Chinese.

When I came to Wantirna College first time, I met liz collar who is international student coordinator. She is very kind to me, and she encourage me join SRC, I went to SRC meetings regularly all the time, but I didn’t even know what SRC was! That is the reason why I told her, I don’t want to go to SRC anymore. But she said “why not? You should go and you have to go!”I asked” why?” she said:” because I said so!”

But as ii receive this award today, I want to thank her. She helps me a lot.

Truth be told, I am not the best student in Wantirna College, but I appreciate this award and I will try my best in future.

I think I got 10 seconds left, I want to thank to Les and Vera who is my lovely home stay, thanks to Liz collar who is international student coordinator, I strongly want to thank to my mother, because she support me and gave me the opportunity to come to Australia. And thanks to Wantinran College, thanks to Australia and finally, thanks to everyone to be here tonight.

when i was only 5 years old, i began to learn how to swim and i like it. i think swimming is an interesting sport and its exciting. its also a good way to keep fit 。

every summer, i go to swimming school 。 my parents say i’ll have a good health if i insist swimming in a right way. and i can grow taller if i go to swim often. so i always ask my coach some questions on swimming and he always helps me a lot. i can swim so well and i can swim breaststroke, backstroke and freestyle.

Sport is something that everyone can enjoy. It can be played by individuals and as a team.

there are many type of sport, the most common ones are basketball, tennis, table tennis, netball, swimming and a lot of others that i cant possibly name.

The reason why sport is so popular for all age groups is because Sport help us to a healthier and fitter body and life.

Everyone wants to stay health and fit, so they wont be sick very often. Sport always help our body function properly and build muscles.

i believe many people love sport. those who doesn;t like sport, may i suggest you to try one of two.

it is a chance to exercise and be health and sport, you can make new friends and feel the team spirt.

Today I am very happy, Because I can talk about with you. You see I am a lovely girl, yes! I like laughing, I like studying. That `is me-- zhuyingjie from Badong shiyan primary school. I am eight. I am young but I know “we are the masters of nature.”

We have only one earth. But now, the environment becomes worse and worse. As you know, theres no enough clean water for people. So many of them lose their lives because of water. If we take good care of our earth today, it will be more beautiful tomorrow.

My dear friend let us start from the trivial side, To be a good kid keeper.

What qualities do you think a friend should have to continue the friendship? Use specific reasons to support your idea.

In my heart, I think the most important quality to continue the friendship is sincerity. A true friendship must be built on sincerity. However, to continue a friendship is not a easy thing. Both of each other have to pay a lot. The word sincerity contains too much. Firstly, we need to be frank and honest to each other. Only if when we did so can the other side treat us like the same and thus build belief between friends. A friendship full of lies and deceit shouldn't be called friendship. Secondly, we need to be considerable and do not be self-centered. We should think more for our friends and encourage them on certain occasion. A self-centered friend can be very troublesome and annoying. No one would tolerate him for a long time. Finally, I think we should learn to compromise sometimes. We can't live in harmony forever with our friends. When there expose a disagreement, we should compromise to each other. Only by this way can a friendship last long.

In my opinion, the schoolwork now being assigned to high school students is too heavy. While it is true that students need to study, they need other things as well if they are to grow into healthy and well-rounded adults. High should be allowed more time for play. Playing is not wasting time, as some think. It gives them physical exercise, and also exercise their imagination. Which tends to be stifled by too much study. Finally, the pressure put on high school students by excessive schoolwork can cause serious stress, which is unhealthy physically and mentally. I do not advocate the elimination of schoolwork. I do think, however, that a reduction of the current heavy load would be beneficial to students and to the society as a whole.
