To improve our English, the school has given a list of books for us to read this summer. Of all the suggested books, I have decided to choose Secrets of English Words and Time for Kids.

The first one is a book which may help me use English words better. By reading this book, I will surely learn more new words. This will make my future study much easier. Time for Kids is a popular magazine specially written for students, in which I will read interesting stories and have a taste of teen life abroad. So it must be of great fun to read it.

Being part of this activity, I am expecting a big step forward in my English.

Twice a week in the afternoons I teach English classes at the Telephone and Telegraph Company＇s Institute in pan-Ciao. I teach telephone operators and office workers of the phone company for three hours each session. Usually we cover the textbook unit in the first two hours, and then the last hour is for free conversation.

In the beginning of the term the students are very shy about talking, but after two weeks they are asking all kinds of questions. During the last hour I sometimes review the students＇ English vocabulary by playing games such as crosswords, opposite and similar words, or singing songs in English or Chinese. To learn a foreign language can be fun.

last friday , we had an lesson and it was really unforgettable because it was the last lesson given by our kind english teacher ,mr tang. when mr tang slowly went into the classroom ,we could see clearly that it was hard for him to leave us though he had taught us for only three said something about him future plan ,which moved us all he started the last lesson. we all listened attentively（认真地）to every word he said .if only we had done like this before！the naughty boys unusually behaved well in this last lesson. it was obviousthat all of us had the common feeling that we wouldn't let him go. though we didn't want our good teacher to go ,it seemed to be too late . as the saying goes,"only when we lose something do we realize the value of it."at last,with the bell ringing,mr tang looked at us all soulfullyand expressed what he thought. he hoped that we would make progress in our study and become good citizens in society.
