In modern society, traditional patriarchy is still influencing Chinese parents. They tend to make almost all decisions for their children, from choosing schools to picking up a even many detailed things such as clothing and diets have to be decided by parents.

However, deciding everything for children does not help them but harm them in many ways. On the one hand, it will make children lack independence and initiative, which is unfavorable to their development in the long run. On the other hand, in many cases, parents' decisions are not always in accordance with their children's personal ideas and interest. It will make children form resistance and naturally influence their growth.

From my point of view, it is unwise for parents to male every decision for their children. It's obvious that parents cannot accompany their children all the time. Growing to be independent is the natural way for everybody. Therefore, parents should give their children rights to make their own decisions. They can help their children but not replace them to make choices.

A revol- ution in teaching techniques is required now。 In the past， we just took it for granted that a teacher' s aim was to teach the students all that he knew and solve all the problems for them。 Therefore， students could mot judge things on their own under this circumstance。 Thus students gradually lost the ability to learn by themselves。 In addition， they were only equipped with the knowledge that were taught in class and made the same judgement upon every problem which might crop up。 Of course， they would find their knowledge not enough to solve practical problems。

So it is time to change the teaching method。 A teacher' s goal is to help the students develop not only the ability to learn by themselves but the skills to make judgements on every aspect on their own。 It' s not necessary for the students to turn to teachers for help while meeting with difficulties。 The first thing is to develop the students' abilities to make sound judgements upon any problem and overe difficulties。

All in all， the aim of teaching is to liberate， but mot to fetter the students' innate powers of making sound judgements。

总而言之，教育目标是解放而不是限制学生决定事物的内在潜力。

Student should learn well on their major, so that they can get a good job in the future. Universities develops the curriculum about student’s major field ensure student learn more on that field. Firstly, a broad field of knowledge is not enough for getting a good job. I am afraid that the curriculum covers a broad field will make students know many things but good for nothing. It is better to have a curriculum focuses on one field and that it is easier for students to have more time working on their major and learn deep on it. Having good knowledge can help students to find a good job after graduate.

首先，广阔的知识领域对于找到一份好的工作是不够的。恐怕覆盖了广泛领域的课程会让学生了解很多事情但是却一点用都没有。最好是有一门课把重点只放在一个领域上，这样学生可以更容易有更多的时间来学习专业知识并进行深入学习。具有良好的知识可以帮助学生毕业后找到一份好工作。

Secondly, Students spend a lot of time on a range fields of knowledge cannot concentrate on their major, because they have to work hard on all subjects that really distribute their attention about their major. Student will soon confuse what their priority is. If all classes are focused on student’s major, student can make it clear that what they should do first and they can follow their teachers easily, because they put all their attention and time on that major.

其次，学生在大范围的知识学习上花大量的时间，他们会无法集中精力与他们的专业上，因为在每个学科上他们都必须要努力学习，这样真的会分散他们对专业学习的注意力。学生会很快疑惑他们应该把什么放在第一位。如果所有的课程都集中在学生的专业上，学生就能清楚地了解他们首先应该做什么，也能够更好地跟着老师走，因为他们把所有的时间和精力都放在了该专业上。

From all these above ， I think that universities should develop a curriculum focuses on student’s major field to make sure student have more time to work on their major and do well on it. If students want to learn something more than their major, they can learn it after school, there is no need to develop a curriculum covers a broad range of fields.

从上述中，我认为大学应该开展专业课程来确保学生有更多的时间放在专业上，并学好。如果学生想比专业知识学习更多，他们可以放学后学习，没有必要开设涵盖广泛领域的课程。
