I was so excited when i entered the college. For so many years, I workedhard to achieve this dream and finally i made it. Everything seemed fresh andcurious to me. I was so pleased that I would enjoy my college life soon.
when i was in high school, I had to study all the time and hardly had sparetime to do what i wanted , I had to focus on my textbooks and doingexercise again and again. Therefore, I had little time to read magazines andnovels and watch TV. what was worse, I couldn't play with my friends a lot,which I couldn't stand the most. In a word, all i did in high shool should beconsidered for the College Entrance Examination.
However, my college life is totally different from the life in can arrange my time freely. I spend most of my time reading in thelibrary, where I can open my eyes and broaden my my free time, I alsojoin some clubs,where i can make a lot of friends of different majors. Myteachers in college are so kind and knowledgeable that they not only teach usknowledge but also how to be a person and how to get on with others. Inaddition, there are more opportunities for me to improve myself.
I believe college life is an important stage in my life. In college, i canlearn how to learn by myself, how to get on with others, how to provides me with a stage where i can show myself and bemyself.

My hometown is located in a very beautiful place. It was once a green city. But now it is becoming dirtier and dirtier. Lots of buses are running on the streets and plenty of factories are built around my hometown so that the heavy smoke is the most usual view there.
Besides, more and more trees are cut down, as a result, we can not hear the birds singing in the blue sky.
But I still love my hometown like before. It is in the place that I was born. So I hope that we can take action to change our hometown into that beautiful place like before.

The topic of my speech today is “Do trust us—a generation born in the 90s”.
Living in an environment full of fierce competition, we, a generation born in
the 90s, are faced with more problems in entering higher schools and getting employed. Under these circumstances, we are developing our special manners and values, which has raised people’s concern.
They worry we care too much about ourselves and are unwilling to cooperate with others, which makes it hard for us to achieve success in whatever we do. Besides, they consider us as lacking in perseverance, and this is what it takes to do any job well. Without it, we may easily give up in time of difficulty. They are also concerned that we are so eager to win instant fame that we follow fashion blindly, which will in turn ruin our values and future.
However, we, a generation born in the 90s, have our own advantages despite some weaknesses. Firstly, we have the courage to meet challenges and take risks, which helps realize our dreams. In addition, we are quick-minded and creative. We can do our work more efficiently. Of course, we still need to learn more from those experienced. Please do trust us!
