we know it is difficult to learn english. my english is very good. i learn english like this.

i listen to the teacher carefully and write the important points down on my notebooks. after class i revise the lessons. before class i prepare new lessons to find out the questions. then i will listen carefully in class.

i also listen to the tape, and speak english with my classmates in the classroom and on the playground. it’s to improve my listening and speaking.

i keep a diary every day to practise my written english.

besides this, i often read english newspapers and magazines to enrich my knowlege on english culture.

we will learn english well so long as we learn it hard.

second, to do some housework can bring you another feelings. once you get into the college, you must do the things for yourself, including washing, clear the room and shedule your daily life and etc.

however, reading and housework doesn’t mean all of your holiday. you need contact with your friends or communicate with them. the reason is that old friends will be in your memory and new friends will be there. and we all know that the friendship among senior school.

father used to be a heavy smoker. he always smoked when he waswatching tv,reading newspapers and so on. mother and i had advised him to quit smoking many times. though he knew smoking was harmful to health,he still said that smoke could make his head sober when he was sleepy. this lasted for a long time until one thing happening today changed his mind.

today,when we were having supper,a loud cry from our neigh-bour's house reached us. we didn't know what had happened,so father decided to go to the neighbour's room to have a look. after a while,he came back and told us in an upset voice, "mr. wang died several minu-tes ago, "“why? "mother asked. father didn't answer but picked out all of his cigarettes and threw them away. later on,we knew mr. wang died from over-smoking. this evening, father promised to us, "i will never smoke again. "
